About the Artist

Lili Francklyn works in oil, acrylic, and pastel painting. She currently focuses on landscape and figurative subjects.
Transitioning from being a writer in the renewable energy industry, she views painting as a terrific opportunity to avoid cluttering up experience with words.
Lili worked for over 20 years as a science journalist, in radio, television, film and print - mostly at NPR and National Geographic. She focused mainly on the environment, climate and renewable energy. After journalism she specialized in digital marketing, including content development and web design. This experience led her to study figure drawing, which at first she viewed as an opportunity for a non-transactional artistic experience. That grew into painting study.
